Museums, Sandwiches & Comedy

Today was a busy day we met up with G-dawg at her old work the American Museum of Natural History a must see in New York.

Just across from Central Park on W 81 st you cannot miss it

The Aussie Masterchef episode was playing as I walked in!
Carnegie Deli boss on the right telling everyone how he got his M.B.D to own the store aka Married the Bosses Daughter!

Please note this is not a story for vegetarians or animal activist you will be disgusted.

In true American fashion the sandwiches made here run by the motto "Everything is bigger in America" I'm shocked no one had a heart attack.

appetizers of pickles

Stunned!

Someone thought we needed to order a side of onion rings

This is to scale I dont even know where to get onions that big??

The classic Reuben sandwich

Rye bread, sauerkraut, pound of Pastrami, covered in melted swiss cheese served with Russian dressing
thank god we shared

the guys next to us you can only see one half of their sandwich towers

For some reason we decided to split a cheesecake

Pickle Love!

Found Mr. Bacon has been here couldve of been the 80s, 90s or 2000
he likes that cut.

Then we decided to head to the Gotham Comedy Club to burn off the meal through laughter, I think it worked. This placed has seen some of the best comedians know to man Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chapelle and the list goes on. If your into laughs the NYC comedy circuit is always fun there's entry fee you generally just have to buy 2 drinks totally worth it.

Surprise

My greatest event would have to be planning the surprise arrival of my siblings for my grandma's 80th birthday present.

We met at Five Points for brunch on Saturday (day before the party) my cousin Zoe was "running late" and as I saw her arrive at the front door the script ensued...

Me: Grandma I wanted to give you your birthday present today. I know you said you didn't want any gifts because at your age you have everything you need but I did some research and found something you've never had but secretly have always wanted.

G-Dawg: Ooo is it a mexican man.

Me: (completely thrown off with laughter) No.

Zoe: (taps her left shoulder) Hi grandma, sorry I'm late.

Brother Ben: (taps right shoulder) Hi grandma!

Me: Surprise!
