Weekend with g-dawg

I headed up to Mamaroneck this weekend to hang out with my Grandma. It's a 30 minute train ride to the burbs. Tonight we dined at her friend Noelle's to celebrate her newly renovated kitchen. She paired  grilled meat & vegetables with a delicious glass of red.

Entree
Gazpacho with shrimp (prawns)
deliciously refreshing cold tomato based soup

Roasted vegetables, balsamic grilled steak and wild rice
Great meal for summer with an awesome mediterranean taste.

Dessert
Vanilla ice cream with strawberries
Yum!

The next day we went for a walk around playland and dined at a tiki restaurant on the pier.

Coconut shrimp
Crunchy shreds of coconut gave a great texture

Fish tacos & berry mojito
took me straight back to mexico! with a lovely kiwi & mango salsa

beautiful spring day

Hot Tip: she drops the c-bomb 10 times in the first 30 pages, thats when I knew I loved this book
