Happy V-day

West Broadway & Reade St Tribeca

I've mentioned this place before I'm pretty sure.. if not here it is you can order bespoke cocktails which is custom made and you can even use adjective's for instance the first time I went there I ordered something Australian, ginger & sexy and the barman whips it up right before your eyes its a real treat.

Home made hummus, pickled vegies and a garden salad their gonna make a vegetarian out of me one of these days.

One with the bartender supplying the love drinks

Hope you all had fun

I just loved the decor they had these wooden carved lanterns

So I decided to branch out from the classic Lime Margarita and ordered the Prickly Pear made with Strawberries and Cactus Fruit it was worth it!

Chili Fries
JalapeƱo chili relleno aka deep fried chili pepper with cheese
Guacamole
Roasted Tomato Mayonnaise

Delightful!

I also got a surprise side order mexican rice and black refried beans

ZoHos Birthday Part I

Today was my lovely cousins birthday, so I took her out for an adventure in Chinatown!

First stop
Vegetarian Dim Sum House
Pell St & Doyers St

The lovely Verity joined us for the chow down
Hot Tip: Dim Sum/Yum Cha the more people, the more food, the more awesome!

Exhibit A

Vogue

Mango pudding

Doyer street is believed to have been built with a curve to deter the movement of straight walking ghosts as opposed to the crooked ones who are always welcome.

It's time for a massage no happy ending keep your short on.

Restaurant Week

So NYC hosts Restaurant Week annually offering discounted a la carte menus at some of New York's finest restaurants.

I was invited to abuse the discount at Butter with my lovely friend Rachel. I also discovered this is a regular spot on the show 'Gossip Girl'

Rachel ordered Butternut Squash it was amazing sweet and creamy and I love the side of popcorn excellent complement instead of the usual slice of bread.

Braised Octopus with celery flowers and white bean puree, delightful combination with the bittersweet celery flowers and seafood.

Duck Confit with pinenuts, greens & grapefuit
I accidentally remembered to take a photo after the first few bites haha it was too good to wait

I was most excited about this bad boy Sticky Date Pudding with caramel, walnuts and cream om nom nom

Rachel enjoyed the classic chocolate cake
