Before I had time to shake off the jet lag my grandma and I hopped on the train to Philadelphia. Its about an hour and a half from upstate New York and it is just beautiful. The reason to devour a bird!
Thanksgiving Day - an annual holiday celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year. Thanks are traditionally directed towards God, accompanied with feasting and prayer.
I have been looking forward to this day since my last visit to the US 3 years ago! My aunty creates a mean feast with the assistance of her sous chefs appealing to both the carnivore and the vegetarian. This is by far the best celebration, I think every country should have such a holiday as it is purely based on delicious food and great company.
This Thanksgiving we had 15 attendees, including another Aussie - so much for being the token luckily we got on like a house on fire, with the nickname Milo how could you not.

Needless to say I was beyond satisfied and I am looking forward to creating the classic leftover sandwich incorporating the moist maker (a piece of gravy soaked bread in the middle- quote from Friends, classic Ross)
