You take a Napa you don't move to Napa!

Woohoo! It's time to get wobbly on vino and cheese! I have been jonesing a wine tour for quite sometime as I have come to enjoy them often in good old P-town for hens parties, birthdays etc. So today Stacey and I headed to the famous Muir woods and wine country of the west coast of Emerica, (this is how we're pronouncing it now, has a bit of grunt to it) Napa and Sonoma valley! It was more amazing then I thought it would be. The weather was perfect and warm the views breathtaking and the wine delicious minus their love of Chardonnay! And we also made some friends Nancy and Jill and the wine tour wolf pack was complete. Nancy turned out to be my kindred spirit with her love of mo's, general hilarity, and witty quoting, It was like talking in a mirror, I couldn't get enough of it! They had also just run the San fran marathon 26ish miles which is like a bajillion kilometres so they were rewarding themselves properly!

First stop on this gorgeous clear day was the golden gate bridge our lovely tour guide Paul suggested we stop there first because it was rare to have such a clear view with minimal fog.
Then we headed to the Muir woods woods to checkout some of the tallest living things in the world, redwood trees! They were spectacular we even got to stand inside one. So by this point mama was craving some of those crushed grapes! So we headed off to our first winery in Sonoma followed by a lunch stop in the local town. We lost track of time running around getting tastings of cheese and wine at local stores so I grabbed a smoked turkey and salad sandwich on marble rye with fresh pickle relish from the Sonoma cheese store. It was hands down the best decision of my life Stacey and I are still dreaming about the amazingness of that sandwich! Then we headed to the last two wineries in Napa valley. The first one had the most amazing view I thought I was in Tuscany! The second was a bit more modest with an outdoor tasting room dubbed the redda the betta lounge, I'm not sure if I 100% agree as I love me some Sauvignon Blanc! I also got a photo with an olive tree (just for you antoinne!) Once the tour was over the wolf pack decided to get dropped off in Sausalito so we could ferry it back to the city and watch the sunset. So we cruised the main street then descended on a little Mexican joint for Stacey to enjoy her first fish taco! And it was delightful with a mix of red cabbage and pumpkin seed coleslaw with fresh sea bass and salsa. I also got my hands on a cactus margarita which was neon fuchsia!

You can see below the amazing sunset from the ferry. Perfect day!
