Hello Brooklyn!

Tuesday 3rd Jan

This is one of my favourite songs to get you in the mood for the following story.

Today we escaped the island (Manhattan) to Brooklyn and what better way to do it then walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Don't be fooled by the blue sky this was the first day New York got into the negative degrees! a real treat for an Aussie.

All that walking in the cold we needed something warm!
First one crossed off the list Grimaldi's Pizzeria "The pizza that made Brooklyn Bridge famous"

A different concept to normal pizza ordering you pay by the size and the ingredients you choose.

Our Concoction
Pepperoni, Mushroom, Olives,

Regular pizza
Crushed Tomato, Basil & Mozarella

So cheesy

Located at 19 Fulton street, Brooklyn in a lovely old two storey building we chose to sit upstairs to get a better view of everyone's pizzas and of course hot air rises. I love the traditional red and white checkered table cloth , great atmosphere and an excellent playlist. I feel the only down side is you have to order the spices for the pizza so onion and garlic were not included so it altered the flavour a little however the dough was divine I like it thin, half crispy half soft so you can fold it easily.

A delightful meal had by all  I cannot wait to sample everyone's favourite pizza in New York ahh the life of a blogger.
