I Heart Mexican!

I headed to one of my Uncle's construction sites today (I knew I should have packed my fluro vest- yes I do own one) My Unci Herb (it's really Alan I've just been calling him that since I saw the episode of the Simpsons with Homers brother Unci Herb) is an architect his company is Metcalfe Architecture

The site we visited is a personal design of his as it is for a friend who lost their house in a fire. A blessing in disguise giving them the chance to knock it down and start again a fresh. It has beautiful high angled ceilings and the kids room has a loft for the bed sooo jealous! I cannot wait to see the end result.

After that I headed to the Pennsylvania Museum of Fine Art. This museum is made up of two buildings the first one I visited was the Samuel M.V Hamilton Building and the exhibition was called here. - An exhibition that looks at how an artist's work is saturated with the experience of place. I found this exhibition to be fresh and exciting as the art was expressed in many different ways, through video footage, photography, paintings & sculptures.

This picture below really caught my eye I love the detail it would make a sick tattoo... I'm just saying

This plane has been constructed in the walk way between the two buildings and also doubles as a greenhouse it looks brilliant! see below the details on the new emerging artist Jordan Griska.

Grumman Greenhouse, a sculpture by Philadelphia artist Jordan Griskacommissioned by the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) for the newly constructed Lenfest Plaza is currently being installed.

These pictures below were taken at building number 2 - The Historic Landmark Building

I love how classic the architecture and interior of this building is these photos do not do it justice. The paintings and sculptures are timeless and there were some of George Washington & Benjamin Franklin so cool to see.

OMG its lunch time!

I headed to the JFK Plaza to meet my uncle for lunch at the new Mexican food van owned by Iron Chef Jose Garces called Guapos! I have eaten a lot of mexican in my time however I am happy to say hands down this was the best taco I have ever had! I cannot wait till I'm actually in Mexico!
